7th Cathedrals Classic Tour

It’s a tradition: the start of the 7th Cathédrales Classic Tour set off early on Saturday morning from the square in front of Laon Cathedral, bound for Belgium.

It’s a tradition: the start of the 7th Cathédrales Classic Tour set off early on Saturday morning from the square in front of Laon Cathedral, bound for Belgium.
The morning was mainly devoted to driving in spring-like weather. The afternoon programme included a visit to Stavelot Abbey and its museums, particularly the Spa-Francorchamps circuit museum.
Sunday was a particularly busy day, with a visit to the Spa circuit. Welcomed by the ‘Porsche Francorchamps Days’, our 37 crews parked inside the circuit to the ‘gentle’ sound of the cars. Three guides were waiting for us at the foot of the ‘Handkook’ tower for a private tour behind the scenes of the circuit (paddocks, pit-lane, podium, press room, etc.). In order to be as close as possible to the heart of the event and witness the parade of over 800 Porsches, lunch took place in the panoramic restaurant overlooking the famous Raidillon.
It was with a certain nostalgia that our rally set off again in the middle of the afternoon, heading for the Laonnois region.

Along the way, questions and riddles were posed here and there, and the winners were :
1st Team: DUPRE Michel / DIEM Carine – NISSAN 370 Z
2nd Team: VANHIMPHEN François / VANHIMPHEN Marie-Hélène – Aston-Martin
3rd Team: CHÊNE Jean-Louis / PAYEN Graziella – ALFA-ROMEO Giulia
